Dr. Stuart Chambers (ELA and SS) Co-teachers Mrs. DeLoach (Math and SC)
I am beginning my 13th year as a teacher at Buford Senior Academy. This will also be my 8th year with the fabulous 5th grade team. I am very excited to be teaching language Arts and Social Studies. My beautiful wife of 35 years, Amy, and I have four children and a wonderful daughter-in-law. Our oldest is Ian. He and his wife Melissa have been married for 3 years. He is serving in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller and they are stationed in South Korea until this December.
Aaron, our second son, graduated from the University of North Georgia where he studied Sports Journalism and Communication. Adam, our third, is a junior at the University of North Georgia and is currently studying Visual Arts. Chloe, our daughter, is also attending the University of North Georgia where she is a sophomore and studying Film. I absolutely LOVE teaching; however, it is my second career. I retired from the United States Navy after 26 years back in November of 2005. Throughout my service, I was able to travel the world while flying from three different aircraft carriers. In early 2000, I switched platforms to a land-based aircraft where we flew missions out of Oman into Afghanistan in 2002. Prior to my retirement, I served as the Command Master Chief for the USS Carr (FFG 52). I feel my life experiences and “adventures” provide me with a unique perspective and will help greatly in the classroom and with my students. I look forward to another amazing year at Buford!
